Sittin' in the Bathtub, countin' my toes...

the song goes something like this:

'i was sittin' in the bath-tub
countin' my toes,
when the radiator broke,
the water all froze...

i was stuck in the ice,
without any clothes,
naked as the eyes of a clown..
(c/o j. prine)

The lyrics above, somehow seem to apply to much of our trading efforts some of the time. A guy is going along, everything just fine...water's just right and it seems there's no clear danger in the 'present' time zone.

It's just such a 'state of mind' one always must avoid, when certain markets are in those certain "SWEET SPOTS" which tend to make one 'think' on the worn out old phrases like "the trend is your friend"; or "trade the trend until the end". Wishful thinking,,,or reality...what's it going to be now ?

The CURRENCY MARKETS are going to be the subject of a 'Week-End' email i'm sending out..."Shooting the Bull" with boog might be an appropriate title; as we've now entered a time zone where certain Bulls may be found lying dead in the pasture...(they also may not...and they can be dangerous when they arise and you're standing on top of one)

There's that certain 'sweet spot' on a GOLF CLUB, a LOUISVILLE SLUGGER, and even my old sandpaper PING PONG paddle...which, when connected to a round object can make one dream of that particular "SWING" for months at a time.Basking in the glory of a one-time smash, however, entails certain risks which i'll discuss more fully by Sunday night.

in CURRENCIES right now...it looks about time to take one final swing...with the objective of smacking ONE right on the sweet-spot...and remaining for some time to come in that warm bath-tub of a 'trend'....a favorable trend as one always hopes for..aspires unto.

however, i'll certainly be checking the radiator before-during-and throughout this up-coming opportunity...as ice isn't my idea of a body garment for the tub, or out in public !

a little time reviewing your MONTHLY-WEEKLY charts today and tomorrow would be 'well spent'...as i've done so for weeks now...in preparation...and with a certain attitude about this year of 2004...methinks a very BIG year indeed.

International Currencies, and their respective valuations have far-reaching implications...multiple opportunities arise out of CHANGES in their prices !
